Historian Dr. David Anderson will portray the renowned orator and statesman. Born in 1818, Frederick Douglass was best known as a social reformer and abolitionist, but he was also an author and a fiery orator. He escaped from slavery in Maryland and became a leader in the abolitionist movement in Massachusetts before moving to Rochester to continue his work.
