Main Street Arts Gallery is opening 2018 with an invitational exhibition of work by four artists that explores the personal territory of unreality, reverie, and the push and pull of time and space. "Dream State" includes symbol-laden paintings by Buffalo artist Matt Duquette, surreal photographs by Bill Finger of Seattle, hybrid human and animal ceramic sculptures by Rochester artist Carrianne Hendrickson, and paintings of figures in the shifting substance of landscapes and domestic scenes by Lin Price of Ithaca.
An opening reception will be held Saturday, January 27, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. "Dream State" continues through February 16 at Main Street Arts, 20 West Main Street, Clifton Springs. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free. 315-462-0210; mainstreetartsgallery.com.
