ART | More Fire Glassblowing Demonstration 

Glassblowing is a mesmerizing artform, but if you've spent any time watching an artist craft molten glass into a beautiful new work, you've probably thought: "What just happened?" Sculpting, stretching, and twisting glass from a basic form into a new work is a fascinating process. If you want a closer look at how it's done, More Fire Glass Studio will hold free glassblowing demonstrations — a rarity in Rochester, currently — and an open house on Thursday. The Rochester studio is run by artist Elizabeth Lyons and features a gallery of works by Lyons, Jennifer Schinzing, Brendan Miller, Rebecca Arday, and David Schnuckel, along with ceramic works by Peter Pincus and Kelly Justice, and wood pieces by Amy Grigg and Chara Dow.

More Fire Glass Studio, 36 Field Street, will hold an open house and glassblowing demonstration on Thursday, March 22, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Free. morefireglass.com.
