ART | 'Plakookee'

"Plakookee" is the name chosen by visiting artists Rachel Debuque and Justin Plakas for their creative collaborations, which playfully combine sculpture, animation, installation, and time-based and photographic imagery. Head to their site, plakookee.com, to preview past works such as the mesmerizing digital sculpture, "Tie-die Blankee," and "Boxing Bears in Space," an augmented reality sculpture that you can also experience through the Activator app. Debuque and Plakas this semester worked with RIT students in the Studio Fine Arts program to create an installation in Bevier Gallery.

The exhibit continues through March 10 at Bevier Gallery (Rochester Institute of Technology, 73 Lomb Memorial Drive, Booth Hall 7A). Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Free. 475-2646; cias.rit.edu/bevier-gallery; plakookee.com.
