Belva Lockwood (1830-1917) was an attorney & politician. In 1879, she became the 1st woman admitted to argue before the US Supreme Court. Lockwood ran unsuccessfully for US President in 1884 & 1888. Learn more about this indomitable local heroine at a lunch (12pm) or tea (2pm) presentation.
