Meet at 226 Hudson Ave. The dedication will be followed by a ride through the community including art in the neighborhood and El Camino trail. Bridges to Wellness and R Community Bikes have wanted to collaborate on a mural for several years and in 2013 it became a reality. We had considered a grafitti mural similar to those done in other areas of the neighborhood but instead settled on one done by local artist Allison Nichols who presented her concept to us in mid 2013. Based on the childrens book, "The Giving Tree" the mural depicts an outdoor scene with diverse individuals doing a variety of bike related activities, ranging from riding to repairing. The branches of the tree contain words close to the hearts of all involved: Community, Bikes, Rochester and Recycling.
