BLUEGRASS | O'Connor Band

Led by renowned country and bluegrass musician Mark O'Connor, this truly is a family band — with his wife Maggie and daughter-in-law Kate joining him on fiddle along with son Forrest on mandolin. In the three years since the O'Connor Band began, the accolades have poured in, with a Grammy win for Best Bluegrass Album, performances at the Grand Ole Opry, and topping Billboard's Bluegrass Albums chart. With debut album "Coming Home" and a second record, "O'Connor Band Live!" — and a blistering and intricate brand of bluegrass — under its collective belt, the O'Connor Band is one to listen to for years to come. Chris Wilson plays in support.

O'Connor Band will perform on Friday, January 19, at Eastman Theatre's Kodak Hall, 60 Gibbs Street. 8 p.m. $26-$71. 274-3000; eastmantheatre.org; oconnorband.com.
