Begging your pardon, "plumbing the depths" would be an apt saying than "troweling" or even "trawling" as both words sound alike. Troweling is to dig dirt. Trawling is to draw a net through the ocean for fish, but neither line are as poetic as "plumbing the depths" proverb. Thank you for a great review. I can't wait to read the book.
