Department of Recreation and Youth Services Commissioner Marisol Ramos-Lopez will join Jonathan Thompson from the New York State Office of Agriculture and Markets to announce funding for the Fresh Connect program. Fresh Connect helps citizens who receive assistance from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) buy food at farmers markets. Now in its fourth year, the program helps ensure all New York State families have access to affordable healthy food, while supporting the state's important agriculture industry.
