CLASSICAL | Manuel Barrueco

Cuban-born guitarist Manuel Barrueco will bring his sumptuous tone, sparkling articulation, and fluid phrasing to Kilbourn Hall on Tuesday. A masterful interpreter of works by canonic artists and 20th century composers alike, Barrueco is equally comfortable performing as an orchestral soloist and recitalist. In addition to works by Manuel de Falla— including selections from "The Three-Cornered Hat" — Barrueco will play compositions by Fernando Sor, who was dubbed "the Beethoven of the guitar" during his lifetime, and Enrique Granados.

Manuel Barrueco will perform on Tuesday, March 28, at Eastman School of Music's Kilbourn Hall, 26 Gibbs Street. 8 p.m. $23-$32. 274-3000; eastmantheatre.org; barrueco.com.
