CLASSICAL | Soloist Showcase Concert 

From Mozart to modern and more, the Brockport Symphony Orchestra will present a showcase of soloists in its upcoming concert. William Hullfish, pennywhistle, and the Golden Eagle String Band will perform Celtic dance. Among Hullfish's credentials is a gold medal from the Smithsonian for his cultural contributions. Also performing is Peter Ferry, vibraphone, performing a work by French composer Emmanuel Sejourne (b. 1961). The variety of the evening also includes Cantor/Hazzan Martin Leubitz with members of the Brockport College-Community Chorus, performing "Avinu Shebashamayim" by Sol Zim. Other performers will include Scott Horsington, clarinet; Lydia Allen, french horn; and Meg Walters, bassoon. The BSO is led by Brian Clickner.

The concert takes place Thursday, March 7, 7:30 p.m. at Seymour College Union Ballroom, SUNY Brockport. Freewill donation. 555-1234, BrockportSymphony.org.
