Healthcare clinicians bear witness to significant human suffering while providing comprehensive care to complex patients with life threatening or life-limiting illnesses. Their exposure to ethical challenges makes them vulnerable to moral distress and ultimately burnout, causing an increasing number of healthcare professionals to leave their profession. This presentation will describe signs and symptoms of burnout.
