He's a poet, a 17th-century French swordsman and an all-around charismatic person, but Cyrano de Bergerac (Pierre Magnier) also has a great source of shame: his enlarged nose, which drains his confidence when he is around women. That goes especially for Roxanne (Linda Moglia), a beautiful lady whose hand Cyrano desires. Fearful of rejection, Cyrano feeds lines to the handsome but tongue-tied officer Christian (Angelo Ferrari), hoping that his poetry will somehow bring him closer to Roxanne.
