Daily Choices: What to do on Monday, January 14 

Film: The Little Theatre (240 East Ave.) will host two screenings of “Shooting Beauty,” part of WXXI and Al Sigl’s "Dialogue on Disability” series, tonight at 6 and 8 p.m. The film puts the viewer in Courtney Bent's shoes as she overcomes her own unspoken prejudices and begins inventing cameras accessible to her new friends with significant disabilities. Admission is free, and the 6 p.m. screening will be followed by a discussion with the film’s producer Courtney Bent who will join the audience via Skype to talk about her film. Kids: Children can learn how to make a book using simple bindings with no stitching or glue tonight, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Wood Library (134 N. Main St., Canandaigua). Carol Henshaw will instruct the class which is recommended for ages 10 and up or as young as age 8 with a parent. A supply fee of $3 or $5 for a parent and child is suggested.
