We've been calling it the "Peace" bridge all this time. Part of the reason no one has removed it, is because the bridge is considered an Orphan. When repairs are necessary, the town of Brighton has to step up because CSX and NYSDOT choose to ignore it. That is if you can even reach them. Usually the lights for the sidewalks are not functioning. Occasionally ballast rocks from the tracks above trickle down to the pedestrian walkway causing a hazard. Again the town of Brighton came to fix it. I hope the tag remains on the bridge for a long time, and was glad to learn it's origin. Take care when you walk or run/ bike under the bridge. Dan D
