DANCE | 'Summer of Love'

As we head into warmer weather, Rochester City Ballet's 2016-17 season finale is fittingly called "Summer of Love." Running Thursday through Sunday at Rochester Auditorium Theatre, RCB's latest work features the music of some of the greatest artists to emerge in the 60's: Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Animals, Cat Stevens, The Byrds, and more. With plenty of memorable songs and choreography to evoke the turbulent yet hopeful time that was the summer of 1967, a half a century ago, this performance should be a crowdpleaser. For a review of "Summer of Love," check rochestercitynewspaper.com on Friday, April 21.

Rochester City Ballet will present "Summer of Love" on Thursday, April 20, through Sunday, April 23, at Rochester Auditorium Theatre, 885 East Main Street. 7:30 p.m. on Thursday; 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; 2 p.m. on Sunday. $23-$78. 389-2170; rochestercityballet.org.
