East Rochester Schools, Woodbine Avenue and Garfield Street, East Rochester. Followed by a panel discussion featuring subject Kelsey Carroll and several local experts in the field of adolescents and emotional disabilities. Ms. Carroll was an extremely at-risk “problem student” in New Hampshire who had dealt with homelessness, abuse, and ADHD, but had one goal -- to graduate from high school, despite the odds. The movie follows her transformation from a defiant and disruptive to motivated and confident, with the help of an educational philosophy that's about empowering -- not overpowering -- youth with emotional and behavioral challenges.
