Tom Harrell returns to Rochester with “Colors of a Dream”, a piano-less ensemble with two bassists and the addition of Jaleel Shaw on alto saxophone. Joining Ugonna Okegwo, Harrell’s bassist for 14 years, is bassist/vocalist Esperanza Spalding who contributes vocals on some of Harrell’s original tunes. Regular Band members Wayne Escoffery on tenor saxophone and Johnathan Blake on drums, complete this stellar group.
