The museum's new Fiber Festival will feature many of these along with demonstrations of rope-making, straw plaiting, basketry, wool carding and spinning, linen processing and spinning, embroidery, natural dyeing, corn husk hetcheling (for mattress stuffing), fancy hair work, lace-making and many other crafts that made a sometimes-hard life better.
