FILM | Deaf Rochester Film Festival

Beginning Wednesday, March 22, and running through Saturday, March 25, the fifth installment of the Deaf Rochester Film Festival will bring three days of narrative, documentary, and short films that highlight the work of talented deaf and hard-of-hearing filmmakers from around the world. In addition to the program of film screenings, DRFF will also host panel discussions, workshops, and receptions that will offer attendees a unique perspective on deaf culture as well as instructional opportunities for future generations of filmmakers.

The Deaf Rochester Film Festival will be held at various venues around Rochester, including RIT (One Lomb Memorial Drive); NTID (52 Lomb Memorial Drive); The Little Theatre (240 East Avenue); Rochester Recreational Club for the Deaf (1564 Lyell Avenue); the Rochester School for the Deaf (1545 St. Paul Street); and the University of Rochester (500 Joseph C. Wilson Boulevard).

Every film screening is open to the general public and will be captioned or voice-interpreted. Tickets for individual films and events range from $10-$40, with discounted tickets available for students with ID. A full festival pass is available for $100 and guarantees entrance to all screenings and events. For more details, including the complete film schedule, visit
