FILM | "More Than This: The Roxy Music Story"

As a part of its monthly film series, the Alternative Music Film Festival presents "More Than This: The Roxy Music Story." The film tells the story of influential English art rock band Roxy Music. Formed in 1971, Roxy Music created a sound and style that influenced an entire generation of British music, inspiring the glam, electronic, and new wave movements. Featuring new interviews with band members and their contemporaries as well as previously unreleased music from the band, the film covers the entirety of the band's prolific career.

"More Than This: The Roxy Music Story" will be shown as a part of The Alternative Music Film Festival Friday, June 13, 7:00 p.m. at the Memorial Art Gallery auditorium, 500 University Avenue. Admission is $10 at the door. The Alternative Music Film Festival is cosponsored by Lakeshore Record Exchange and the Averell Council of the Memorial Art Gallery.
