Re: “The F Word: Sixty Minute Man

Sage advice -- time is precious, try to spend it wisely. Wish I had back the minute or two I spent reading this column.

Re: “Reimagine RTS moves into next phase

This is not the City of Rochester's project, Robyn, it's the Regional Transit System's.

Re: “Jazz Fest 2017, Day 8: Frank reviews Binker and Moses, tries to see King Crimson, and ends the night with Caravan Palace

Slide by the Harro Saturday , Mr. De Blase, and get the party started right: the Majestics, super special horn session, 5:30 and 7:15. Best band in town. Best band in a lotta towns. https://youtu.be/DKlPerVWC1U

Re: “[UPDATED] Daniele blames Wegmans for Whole Foods delay

I highly doubt the Danieles' desire to have a Whole Foods store on their property has squat to do with the chain's position on veganism and animal welfare, Lisa Taylor. The welfare of bald eagles living nearby on the shore of Irondequoit Bay didn't faze the Danieles all the years they fought to build that gawdawful residential development on Empire Boulevard. They strike me as rich people out to amass as much wealth as possible, not altruists who want a Whole Foods on their land in Brighton because the supermarket chain's top execs are vegans.

Re: “Theater math

Is that Arnie's bar mitzvah picture? That's a throwback coif. And how long has he been around and in that position, seems about as long as Adam Urbanski's been running the city teachers union, which dates back to the Eisenhower Administration. There's so much fresh, new blood doing dynamic things in town, Arnie, his crew and act are so tired, beyond time for a changing of the guard.

Re: “Wonder walls

I agree, Donna Nelms DeLuca, love the mural, love the building, love its new life, but while it was built as a church, for much of its existence, 58 years, from 1926 to 1984, it was the Playhouse -- the Rochester Community Players' legendary (to alter kockers and younger kindred spirits) theater. I'm sure all the good Christians, great actors and world-famous musicians who performed there for 60 years would applaud the mural and what John Trickey, Jeff Ching and Brian Van Etten are doing with that grand old building.
