Quaker historians Judy Wellman and Justin Murphy will discuss Frederick Douglass' connection to the Society of Friends (Quakers) in Rochester and throughout western New York. Actor David Shakes will recite some of Douglass' historic speeches and historian David Anderson will be honored for his work on Frederick Douglass.
