Verdis Robinson will lead a tour highlighting several African-Americans interred in Mt. Hope whose stories have not been told before. Frederick Douglass is included in the tour as well as other African Americans who lived in Rochester from the 19th century up to the 21st.
Verdis Robinson is a former history professor at MCC and one of the authors of the forthcoming book entitled "Beyond These Gates - Mountains of Hope in Rochester's African-American History.”
