The August meeting of the Gates Historical Society will be held on Monday, August 20 at 7:00 pm at the Gates Town Hall Annex, 1605 Buffalo Road. Jim Memmott, a retired reporter and senior editor at the Democrat and Chronicle and writer of the “Remarkable Rochester” column, will be doing a presentation about how he started his journalism career in 1980 covering the history of Greece and Gates. This facility is handicapped accessible.
