Sit, Knit, & Stitch: Thursday, April 4, 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Bring your own project and enjoy the company of others who enjoy needlecraft like knitting, stitching and crocheting. Beginners to experts are welcome. Bring a snack and beverage if you wish. No registration.

Pajama Story Time: Thursday, April 4, 6:30 – 7:15 PM. Stories, songs, activities and a craft will be included. A family program for all ages and pajama wear is optional! No registration.

First Friday Films: Friday, April 5, 10:00 – 11:30 AM. Join us for a film and popcorn on the first Friday of each month! All ages, no registration.

Technology for Seniors: Friday, April 5. Sign up for one of three one-hour sessions at 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, or 2:30PM. Each month we tackle a new topic related to technology, using tablets or laptops. If you own an electronic device, please bring it with you, otherwise you may borrow one from the library during the class. Registration is required and limited to 1 or 2 people per session. Junior Friends: Tuesday, April 9, 4:00 – 5:00PM. The Junior Friends are library volunteers ages 9-16 who meet year-round and help the library with book sales, programs, and decorations, among other fun things. We also get involved with community service activities.

Graham Cracker Bunny Cottages: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, April 9, 10, & 11 from 6:30 – 7:30PM. Create a cute bunny cottage out of graham crackers then use your imagination to decorate it. Sign up as a family (or a group of friends) for an exciting evening of creativity. Registration is required. Preschool Dance Party: Friday, April 12, 10:00 to 10:30 AM. Dance up a storm at our fun Friday party! For ages 1-5 with a caregiver. No registration.

Learn to Crochet: Saturday, April 13, 10:30 – 11:30 AM. This class’s project will be a pot holder, teaching and building stitching techniques gained from previous classes. Please bring 1 skein of cotton yarn (Peaches & Cream is suggested). There will be some yarn available. If you need help with something you've already started feel free to bring it with you. 18 and up. Registration is required.

Spring Flower Stamping: Saturday, April 13, 2:00 – 3:30 PM. Usher in spring with cool and colorful flower stamps. Join Deb Coller as she shows you how to officially welcome spring with Spring Flower Stamping. All materials will be provided. Ages 18 and up. Registration is requested.

Library Board Meeting: Wednesday, April 17, 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Library Board meetings are open to the public.

Lego Club: Thursday April 18, 6:30 – 7:30PM. Ages 5 through 12. Come build with our Legos! Registration is required.

Yoga Story Time: Friday, April, 19, from 10:00 – 10:30 AM. For ages 1 - 5 with a caregiver. Hear stories while stretching and strengthening your body! The stories will inspire children's minds as their bodies are busy supporting them. No registration.

GPL Out on the Town: GPL Out On the Town: Saturday, April 20, 10 AM. Join us for a visit to the Seneca Park Zoo celebrating Earth Day with a fun-filled experience learning about environmental sustainability and the simple actions you can take to help make a difference for wildlife and wild places. Read With a Furry Friend!: Thursday, April 25, 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Stop in and read a book with Kat the therapy dog! She and Ms. Joanna will be in the children's area and ready to be read to. No registration, all ages.

Thursday Tales: Thursday, April 25, 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Designed for ages 2 through 6 with a caregiver. Fairy tale stories, songs, crafts, and a snack. No registration.

Food of New York State: Saturday, April 27, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Learn the history and origin of NYS foods with Chef Jeffory McLean! Enjoy a sampling of dishes that are exclusively NY like the popularity of chicken wings, chicken French, Utica greens, & speedies. Registration required.

Know Your Numbers: Saturday, April 27, 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Doctors from the University of Rochester, in conjunction with the Gate Lions Club will be hosting health education sessions and screenings that are free to the public. Education subjects and screenings include: diabetes, high blood pressure, vision, nutrition.
