Time For Tots: Wednesday, July 10, 10:15 – 11:15 AM. Ages 1 through 5 with a caregiver. Forty minutes of free play with toys, followed by a short story time. No registration.

The Murder of William Desmond Taylor: Wednesday, July 10, 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Work on the classic unsolved 1922 murder of a well-known Hollywood director. Meet the suspects, hear from the ‘persons of interest’ involved in the case, and look at the physical evidence. This case has all the components of a great story. Come to your own conclusions and solve one of the great murder mysteries of the early part of the 20th century.

GPL Out on the Town: Thursday, July 11, 5:45 – 7:00 PM. GPL Out On the Town takes us on a DeTOUR of the Memorial Art Gallery with Alex the Archaeologist from the Archaeological Institute of America’s Rochester Society. We’ll dig up secret histories of the past, decode curses from Ancient Egypt, interpret art from the beginning of time, and share fun facts about sand, dirt, and dust and their role in preservation. You’ll also get to ask Alex all your burning archaeological questions along the way as we journey from civilization to society. Read With a Furry Friend!: Thursday, July 11, 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Stop in and read a book with Kat the therapy dog! She and Ms. Joanna will be in the children's area and ready to be read to. No registration, all ages.

African Drumming: Thursday, July 11, 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Sing, Dance, and hear stories with African drummer, Mayukwa. Registration requested.

Preschool Dance Party: Friday, July 12, 10:00 to 10:30 AM. For ages 1-5 with a caregiver. No registration.

Everything Barbeque: Saturday, July 13, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Join Chef Jeffory "Cheffory" McLean – a former Competition BBQ Chef, as he shares the secrets of the pros. Learn about regional barbecue styles, dry rubs, slop sauces and cooking methods while sampling delicious bites. Registration required.

Baby Story Time: Monday, July 15, 9:30 – 10:00 AM. For children ages birth through 2 years old, with a caregiver. Stories, songs, finger plays and play time. No registration.

Story Time with Mary Jo: Monday July 15, 10:15 – 11:00 AM. For ages 2 through 5 with a caregiver. Stories, songs, circle games, snack, fingerplays and toys are all part of this program. No registration.

Story Time with Hannah: Tuesday, July 16, 10:15 – 11:00 AM. For ages 2 through 5 with a caregiver. Stories, songs, circle games, snack, fingerplays and toys in this program. No registration.

Library Board Meeting: Wednesday, July 17, 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Library Board meetings are open to the public.

A Universe of Stories, Art, and Music: Thursday, July 18 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Join Mary Jo as we appreciate art, music, and stories that are out of this world! Registration requested.

Experience Meditation: Friday, July 19, 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Learn meditation practices and techniques to help calm your mind in stressful situations. This can lead to enhanced effectiveness at work, improved relationships and increased self-acceptance. Participants are encouraged to bring a cushion. Registration required.

Yoga Story Time: Friday, July 19, from 10:00 – 10:30 AM. For ages 1 - 5 with a caregiver. Hear stories while stretching and strengthening your body! The stories will inspire children's minds as their bodies are busy supporting them. No registration.

Space Snacks: Saturday, July 20, 1:00 – 2:00 PM. For ages 8 – 18. Blast off into the library today as we make some out-of-this-world snacks that celebrate the beautiful galaxy we live in! Miss Liz will show you how to make some delicious treats. All materials will be provided. Registration is required.

Natural Curls: A Guide For Curly Girls: Monday, July 22, 6:00 – 7:30 PM. This class will be a demonstration of techniques for embracing your natural curls and waves. We will demonstrate on a model and introduce you to products and concepts to improve your curls.

Floral Design Part Two: Wednesday, July 24, 7:00 – 8:30PM. You bring the thought, and we'll help turn your dreams into masterpieces, custom designing just for you. Bring your own keepsake containers and your choice of silk flowers. Registration required.

Practice SAT: Thursday, July 25, 10:00AM – 2:00PM. For students in 9th grade and higher will take an officially released, full-length practice exam proctored by a test expert under timed conditions then will learn how to score the exam and interpret those results. Bring pencils, snacks and a calculator. Registration required.
