Together with renowned saxophonist and Professor of Saxophone at the Tokyo School of Music and the Kunitachi School of Music, Kuninobu Bando, the Tokyo-based chamber ensemble has received numerous accolades for their international performances since their formation in 2009, as well as critical acclaim across Japan and America. With an extreme dedication to exposing audiences to music from their native countries, the Bando/Wintringham Duo presents programs highlighting their respective repertoire and its growth throughout the years. As avid supporters of contemporary music, the ensemble also commissions and premieres numerous works in attempt to expand upon the existing body of repertoire for this unique instrumentation.
