HIP-HOP | Migos

Georgia hip-hop trio Migos — consisting of members Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset — has come a long way since its formation in 2009. The Southern rappers broke into the mainstream in 2013 with the debut single "Versace" off its "Y.R.N." mixtape. That track reached the US Billboards Top 100 chart as well as year-end lists for magazines like Rolling Stone and SPIN. Being business savvy, Migos strategically dropped hit singles to keep its fan base constantly hungry for more until the release of "Bad and Boujee" off its second full-length, "Culture," which debuted at number 1 in the US little more than a month ago. Migos has cornered the dying sub-genre of less lyrical hip-hop and brought it back to life with impressive production and club banging hits.

Migos performs Saturday, March 11, at the Main Street Armory, 900 East Main Street. 8 p.m. $60. mainstreetarmory.com; migosonline.com.
