Implicit bias refers to the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in an unconscious manner. How do we understand implicit bias, unpack it and understand how our backgrounds, upbringing, and society shape how we interact with each other in virtual spaces and beyond? This workshop demonstrates how to understand implicit bias at a personal and social level and leverage this understanding in a way that will facilitate decreased instances of microaggressions and other covert racist tendencies in the professional and personal spheres -- when interacting on the internet and in everyday life.
