This course will introduce basic principles of audio production in order to creating high-quality music recordings at home, on a budget. Instruction will center around choosing and setting up appropriate recording equipment at home, a brief discussion of the physics of sound as it pertains to creating suitable acoustic environments for recording, identification, care and feeding of microphones, and practical strategies for musicians acting as their own audio engineer.
