Rochester-born, Whiteside is an accomplished Master of Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. He is an adjunct professor at Monroe Community College (Visual and Performing Arts) and Nazareth College (Fine Arts – Art Therapy Graduate Program). Through his work he had examined the phenomenon of line, color, and form as a metaphorical interpretation of both life and the dances that are created.
