Tree Lighting CeremonySunday, December 2, 2018, 3:30-5pm
The library is teaming up with the Town of Irondequoit and Parks and Recreation to bring Irondequoit's annual tree lighting ceremony. Activities will start in the library at 3:30 pm, and will include a holiday storytime, a self-guided craft for kiddos, a raffle, and holiday music. Then the fun will move over to the gazebo next to Town Hall, where we'll greet Santa and watch as he uses his Christmas magic to light up the tree and menorah.

Writing the Constitution Thursday, December 6, 2018, 6-8pm
The United States Constitution, the basis of our democracy, was ratified over 200 years ago. Do we take it for granted in 2018? One method for examining this important document is to sit down and copy the exact wording by hand. In line with sessions begun by New York artist Morgan O'Hara titled "Handwriting the Constitution," you are invited to hand write in a quiet space with others. Copies of the Constitution, paper, and writing implements will be provided. Participants can copy whatever portion they want and stay as long as they are able. No registration necessary. Open Enrollment with a LawNY Health Care Navigator Friday, December 7, 2018, 10am-2pm
A certified health care navigator from LawNY will be available for a one-hour appointment to assist in enrolling for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. Open enrollment takes place November 1, 2018 through January 31, 2019. Additional appointments available at other libraries in Monroe County. Please be sure to bring a photo ID, the previous year's tax return, and dates of birth and social security numbers for all family members that you are enrolling. Registration required.

Craft and Laugh! Wednesday, December 12, 2018, 6-7pm
All ages welcome, though crafts are targeted for ages 4-6. We meet monthly at the Irondequoit Library and take turns providing a craft idea and materials.
