Re: “Donald Trump and Nixon: do you see the similarity?

Dennis O'Fletcher123 - Many thanks for those entertaining Trumpster facts. The reality is that the following Americans were held prisoner in North Korea during the Obama administration:

Euna lee
Robert Park
Lora Ling
Aijalon Gomez
Eddie Young Su Jun
Kenneth Bae
Merrill Newman
Mathew Miller
Jeffrey Fowle
Arturo Pierre Martinez
Sandra Suh
Kim Dong Chul
Otto Wambier

All but two were released prior to Obama leaving office.

Re: “Donald Trump and Nixon: do you see the similarity?

When you mentioned similarities between Trump and Nixon, I thought you meant Cynthia Nixon with the similarities of an entertainment personality with an oversized ego giving them the delusion that they should run for high political office despite a total lack of experience, or aptitude. If that was the case, I was going to recommend adding Rachel Barnhart to the list. But now I see that you meant the other Nixon, the one who, like Trump will doubtless be doing at some future date, was found walking the halls of the White House talking to the pictures.

Re: “Candidates file for Congressional races

Clearly Ms. Barnhart has found a new career as Perpetually Failed Candidate for Office. By my count, this will be her third unsuccessful run for an office she is in no way qualified to hold. Perhaps she might consider getting her political hands dirty by starting at the local level by running for a town or school board?

Re: “Slaughter’s impact on Rochester was deep

Luxembourg - Thanks for that blast from the past. It's been days since I last heard someone throwing around an intentionally out-of-context version of Pelosi's (not Slaughter's) statement, "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it. Of course "accidently" left out is the rest of the sentence, "away from the fog of the controversy. " Her contention was clearly that, until the final version of the AVCA had been hammered out between the House and Senate, no one would know what they were being asked to vote on, and until it was passed (as with ANY piece of legislation in any legislative body) it could not be known what the final version would contain. Oh, and as an FYI, if you REALLY believe that supporters didn't know what they were voting for, than you have to accept that opponents equally had no clue what they were voting against.

Re: “Sheppard wins Democratic committee endorsement

After being thrown under the bus by Mayor Warren I'm glad to see that Sheppard is still in the game.
