Re: “Urban Action 1/10

Your description of the meetings on canal clear cutting are incorrect. The meetings of Jan 17 and 18 are being held by the New York Power Authority and the Canal Corporation (not the Rochester People's Climate Coalition). NYPA and the CC will be in control of the agenda.

These meetings were spearheaded by a grass roots group headed by Elizabeth Agte if you wish to confirm my input. You will also be able to confirm through the supervisors of Perinton, Pittsford and Brighton.

Re: “Landmark Society shines a spotlight on porches, a roundhouse...

One of the artists here this past weekend for the Flower City Pottery Invitational commented on how lovely all of the old houses in the neighborhood were and how they made the area more attractive. #preservation

Re: “East End garage needs millions in repairs, quickly

Have you ever done an expose on who is one the Cultural Commission, what they are paid and what they have spent?

Re: “Finding college art in the big city

Julie - you and any of the students could have entered the Photographer's Path show at High Falls Fine Art Gallery. This public show for photography is now in its 16th year. Entry deadline was today. I urge you to connect with all of the fine galleries and photography resources in Rochester. Your first stop should be Community Darkroom, part of the Genesee Center for the Arts & Education at 713 Monroe Avenue in Rochester.
