"The company sells only a fraction of the electric vehicles in New York."
This blatantly misleading at best, of course all companies sell a fraction of the EV's in New York. Tesla, according to the state of New York, has approximately 70% of market share for all EVs in New York. If you want to throw in hybrids, they still have over 20% of the market which is still number 1 out of all automakers. These are $100,000 dollar cars which are outselling the Prius. It sounds like their sales model is doing just fine.
