You're liable to work up quite an appetite while checking out a night's worth of shows at the Jazz Fest. Thankfully, the festival provides. Several of the Club Pass venues offer food (at an additional fee, of course), including Max of Eastman Place and the Rochester Club. Refreshments are available at most of the others.
Beyond that, for the duration of the festival (June 21-29) Gibbs Street and the area in front of the Big Tent (Chestnut and Main) are filled with food vendors. The Jazz Fest has put out a guide that provides a map of all the vendors, as well as the days they'll be serving, their menus, and even price points. You'll find the full document below.
Of course, the East End neighborhood is home to many excellent restaurants that operate year-round. Check out City Newspaper's online-only Restaurant Guide for a listing of
East End restaurants. If you want to get away from the Jazz Fest action, you can widen your search to other geographic regions around town, or sort by cuisine type or other criteria.
Did you have an especially great meal at one of the area restaurants or festival vendors? Tell us where and what you ate in the comments section!
