JAZZ | Hoffman-Lemish Quartet 

Amos Hoffman is fluent in many musical genres and equally adept on guitar and oud. Noam Lemish is an excellent pianist who also has broad musical interests. Well known as jazz players, both musicians grew up in Israel and are particularly well-versed in Jewish music, but when they bring their quartet to the JCC, the group will also put its unique jazz and folk spin on Kurdish, Moroccan, and Yemenite tunes as well as traditional music from the Caucasus Mountains.

Hoffman-Lemish Quartet plays Wednesday, June 6, at the Hart Theater, Jewish Community Center, 1200 Edgewood Avenue. 7 p.m. $15. 461-2000; jccrochester.org; hoffmanlemish.com.
