JAZZ | Levin Brothers

Since graduating from the Eastman School of Music, bassist Tony Levin has worked with Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, John Lennon, Pink Floyd, and many others legends. Over the years, his brother, Pete Levin, has lent his keyboard skills to Miles Davis, Gil Evans, Jaco Pastorius, and Paul Simon, to name a few. After recording hundreds of albums with others, the brothers have finally released their first album together. When they take the stage at Lovin' Cup, Tony will play upright bass and cello while Pete will command the piano and organ. The brothers will be joined by saxophonist and flautist Erik Lawrence, a Levon Helm sideman, and drummer Jeff Siegel, who has worked with Sir Roland Hanna and Kenny Burrell.

Levin Brothers perform Saturday, April 1, at Lovin' Cup, 300 Park Point Drive. 8 p.m. $20 advance; $25 day of show. 292-9940; lovincup.com; thelevinbrothers.com.
