KIDS | Rochester Children's Book Festival

I don't think I'm alone in thinking that book fair day was one of the most wonderful days of the school year. The annual Rochester Children's Book Festival, now in its 22nd year, is like a book fair on magic beans — it's a day-long, festive affair, and features more than 48 regional authors and illustrators of beloved books. Presented this weekend by Rochester Area Children's Writers and Illustrators (RACWI), the 2018 festival's theme is #Read365, which celebrates the publication of acclaimed children's author Jane Yolen's 365th book. The event features presentations, workshops, story times, an artist and crafts room, face painting, and more. ASL/English interpreting services will be provided by students from RIT's National Technical Institute for the Deaf.

The Rochester Children's Book Festival will take place on Saturday, November 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center at Monroe Community College, 1000 East Henrietta Road. Admission is free, but children must be accompanied by parents and guardians. rcbfestival.com.
