KIDS | School Break Week

Keep your kids active during the holidays by taking them to the National Museum of Play for the Let's Move! School Break Week, taking place December 21-31. The week is dedicated to fostering active lifestyles in children and is part of First Lady Michelle Obama's initiative to fight childhood obesity.

During this week the museum will have all sorts of fun, interactive exhibits and physical challenges designed to keep your kids moving. Kids can test their mountaineering mettle on the climbing wall, bust a move to the beat of "Dance Dance Revolution," or take on a balance challenge in the "American Comic Book Heroes" exhibit. Also check out the "Little Builders" exhibit, where your kids can create mammoth structures using giant foam blocks and transport building materials across a four-level construction site using a hand-operated pulley.

The School Break will take during normal museum hours at the National Museum of Play (1 Manhattan Square Drive). All activities are included in the general museum admission, which is $13.50 for non-members over the ages of 2. For more information visit museumofplay.org or call 263-2700.
