LECTURE | 'Behind the 4th Wall'

The Avenue Blackbox Theatre will this week host director, choreographer and co-founder of #CREATEASPACENOW Hettie Barnhill in "Behind the 4th Wall," an event which explores art and artmaking, specifically with regards to the stories or marginalized groups. Barnhill will share the meaning of, and inspirations behind, three of her short docu-style films that each blend art and social issues. The event will include dance, film screenings, and discussion. Barnhill is also the professor of musical theater at Nazareth College, a Broadway actress ("Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark"), and founder of the Movement & Characters school.

"Behind the 4th Wall" with Hettie Barnhill takes place on Saturday, December 1, 4 to 6 p.m., at The Avenue Blackbox Theatre, 780 Joseph Avenue. Free, donations welcome. Pre-registration is encouraged. avenuetheatre.org; eventbrite.com.
