LIT | ROC City Writers' Festival

Though the early autumn feels more like midsummer so far, the holiday season looms ahead. It's time for cheerful gatherings and, for some people, to begin thinking about finding the perfect gifts for people on their lists. The ROC City Writers' Festival, a monthly gathering of musicians playing while visual artists vend, will take place on Saturday, September 30, from 4 to 9 p.m., at the Greenhouse Café (2271 East Main Street).

The event is presented by performing and visual arts collective Strange Entertainment, which has been brings talented people together in various locations each month. Upcoming dates, also at the Greenhouse Café, are on the last Saturday of the month: October 28, November 25, and December 30. The events are free to attend. For more information, call 270-8603 or search ROC City Writers Festival on Facebook.
