METAL | Dirkschneider

Udo Dirkschneider, the former lead singer of German metal band Accept — you know, "Balls to the Wall" — rocks. He rocked back in the day, and he will continue to rock going forward, despite embarking on his current farewell tour to play Accept songs one last time before closing the book. The 65-year-old Dirkschneider and his eponymously named group are old school headbangers, and as a pioneering front man, he helped place the thrash prefix on the metal label. There's still plenty of ferocity left in Udo Dirkschneider's tank.

Dirkschneider performs Monday, March 5, at Montage Music Hall, 50 Chestnut Street. 6:30 p.m. $25-$50. themontagemusichall.comudo-online.com.
