Carolyn and Henry Joyner were a young couple from N.C. who grew up in a culture of blatant racial injustice. In the midst of hate and rejection, they also struggled with properly embracing their own ethnic identity. Carolyn and Henry will describe how they moved past that and found who they were ethnically and spiritually. Their story is one of discovering a unity in diversity they call “the most liberating, affirming and empowering truth of our time.” Light refreshments will be served.
