This is a past event.

One of the hardest parts about writing can be getting started—the all too familiar “writer’s block” or “rut.” Where do we begin? What do we write about? This workshop will be about experimenting with new techniques and exercises in order to energize our writing processes and methods. We will read a variety of material, get inspiration from music and art, and focus on techniques like imitation, homophonic translation, and the ways in which technology can be used to further engage not just with narrative or storytelling, but with the “materiality” of language. This class will run July 15-August 12.
