Designed in the Romanesque Revival style by the architectural firm of Gordon
and Madden, St. Stanislaus has an exterior of red pressed brick and is crowned with a
distinctive domed steeple reminiscent of church spires in Eastern Europe. The church’s
interior is a vivid display of religious art that conveys the parish’s heritage in murals,
stained glass, statues, and elaborate stenciling. A new shrine dedicated in 2008 honors
Our Lady of Częstochowa – Poland’s Black Madonna – and the recently canonized Saint
John Paul II
