Great Decisions 2020
Mondays, January 27-March 23, 7:00-8:30 PM or Thursdays, January 30-March 26, 2:00-3:30 PM
This discussion program in conjunction with the Foreign Policy Association focuses on U.S. foreign policy. This year’s topics include: climate change, India and Pakistan, U.S. relations with the Northern Triangle, and China’s involvement with Latin America. Participants will be notified when the briefing books ($26.00) will be available at the circulation desk for pick-up and purchase. No sessions on February 17 or 20; snow dates will be March 30 and April 2. Registration is limited with priority given to past participants. Open registration closes on Monday, January 6.
Sweet Bites: a Taste of Poetry

For Grades 9-12. Teen Tuesdays are held every Tuesday when school is in session! Free snacks, games, arts, and crafts. Drop in to meet up with some old or new friends. No registration required.
Homeschool Writing Club & Pizza
Wednesday, February 12, 10:30 AM-12:00 PM
For Grades 6-12. Join us for fun prompts and writing exercises led by Dani Galens and librarian Lyla Grills. No writing experience required; club will be held on the second Wednesday of each month. Registration opens Wednesday, January 29.
Pop Culture Trivia

Take Your Child to the Library Day with Batman & Batgirl
Saturday, February 1, 11:00-11:45 AM
For Ages 3-7, with an Adult. Come meet Batman and Batgirl, make a craft, and listen to a story. If you like, dress up like your favorite superhero. Parents, don’t forget your cameras. Registration opens Friday, January 17 for residents and January 27 for all others.
Girls Who Code
Mondays, February 3-March 30, 6:45-7:30 PM
For Grades 3-5. Learn basic computer science concepts in a fun and creative way. Girls will read excerpts together from "Girls Who Code: Learn to Code and Change the World," then discuss what they’ve read and do a creative challenge with the group. No meeting on February 17. Registration opens Monday, January 20 for residents and January 29 for all others.
Valentine Party for Child & Dad (or other favorite male adult)
Saturday, February 8, 11:00 AM-Noon
For Grades K-5, with an Adult. You and your special guest are invited to a Valentine’s Day Party! We will decorate and eat some sweet treats, make a valentine craft, and enjoy other fun activities. Registration opens Friday, January 24 for residents and January 31 for all others.

African Drumming featuring Mayukwa Kashiwa

For Children of All Ages & Family. Come hear wonderful stories and get ready to dance and laugh as Mayukwa performs an entertaining show full of his musical talents. Registration opens Monday, February 3 for residents and February 10 for all others.
Stuffed Animal Pet Show
Tuesday, February 18, 10:30-11:30 AM
For Ages 3-8, with an Adult. Bring your favorite stuffed animal to the library for our 18 th annual stuffed pet show! We will have lots of fun with pet crafts and every pet will receive an award! Please bring one stuffed animal per child. Registration opens Tuesday, February 4 for residents and February 11 for all others.
Family Game Day
Wednesday, February 19, 2:00-3:00 PM
For Ages 4+, with an Adult. Children under age 4 will be unable to attend the program. Let’s banish the winter blaaaahs with a rousing family game. Prizes, refreshments, excitement -- don’t miss this special afternoon of family fun. Registration opens Wednesday, February 5 for residents and February 12 for all others.
Library LEGO Lab*

For Ages 6-11. Do you love to build with LEGOs? Come join other LEGO fans for our Library LEGO Lab! We’ll provide all the LEGOs, you bring your imagination. Registration opens Thursday, February 6 for residents and February 13 for all others.

Science Saturday

For Grades K-4. Working in teams, we’ll explore the engineering design process. We’ll design and build towers using clothespins and wooden craft sticks to try and make the tallest tower. Registration opens Friday, February 7 for residents and February 14 for all others.
K-4 Crafty Fun Days

For Grades K-4. Children in kindergarten through 4 th grade will meet for stories and a theme-related craft. Registration opens Wednesday, January 15 for residents and January 22 for all others. Please register separately for each individual date; online registration is available.
Parent-Child Book Group

For Grades 3-5, with Parent. For our next book club evening, please read Greta’s Story by Valentina Camerini and come prepared to discuss it! Books will be on hold at the circulation desk to check out beginning January 31. Book club is monthly and our next meeting is March 26. No registration required.

Wee Walkers Play Time

For ages 12-23 months, with a caregiver. Enjoy some play time and socialization with your child through stories, songs, and rhymes that stimulate your child’s growing mind! Siblings welcome. (No play time February 21 or April 10)
Terrific Twos
Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays, 9:40-10:05 AM January 28-May 4
For two-year-olds, with a caregiver. A weekly session of stories, songs, and finger plays! A parent or caregiver must attend with the child; siblings welcome. (No story times on Mondays – February 17 or April 6; Tuesdays – February 18 or April 7; or Wednesdays – February 19 or April 8).
Wednesday Preschool *(New Class)
