Polish Film Festival Part I: Canal

When: Thu., Oct. 12, 7:30-9 p.m. 2017
Phone: 275-9898
Price: $4-$8
The film gives the portrayal of brave Home Army resistance fighters as they try to escape the pursuing Germans through the labyrinthine sewers of Warsaw. A claustrophobic study of heroism under immense pressure, Canal is based on a true event and considered the first film ever made about the Warsaw Uprising. Presented by the Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies and the Dryden Theatre at George Eastman Museum.
