A thumbs up from Joywave is all you really need to agitate some gravel to head out and see a band or an artist. Hell, they turned me on to KOPPS. Anyhow, Andrew McMahon's forward-thinking pop rock is a sunny blend of astute lyrics and melody. He's also the principal songwriter in Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate.
